A2Z Infra Engineering ends 6% up on order win in Nepal

Shares of A2Z Infra Engineering settled with nearly 6 per cent gains today after the company won a USD 13.56-million (around Rs 90 crore) contract from the Nepal government for expansion of electricity distribution network.
The stock gained 5.65 per cent to end the day at Rs 32.70 on BSE. During the day, the stock gained 11.79 per cent and hit a high of Rs 34.60.
On NSE, shares of the company jumped 6.15 per cent to Rs 32.75. Intra-day, it touched a high of Rs 34.60.
On the volume front, 7.75 lakh shares traded on BSE and over 37 lakh changed hands on NSE.
A contract has been awarded from the Nepal Electricity Authority, a Nepal government undertaking, on June 10, A2Z Infra had said in a BSE filing.
The contract is for expansion of distribution network in the western region of Nepal. The award has been made for a "contract price aggregating USD 1,35,63,420.77", the company said.
The award was given on the basis of a global tender, it added.
