Before Mohaniya, the post was held by Kapil Mishra, who recently took charge as Delhi Law and Tourism Minister after his predecessor Jitendra Singh Tomar resigned following his arrest by Delhi Police for allegedly having fake law degrees.
At present, Mishra is the chairman of the Board.
Mohaniya, a two-time MLA, is a Delhi University graduate and has worked for NGO 'Sambhav', which works in the area of upliftment of street children.
In 2010, he participated in Indian Against Corruption movement along with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
