Mishra, who is an MLA from Karawal Nagar in northeast Delhi, will play an important role in making decisions in the Board.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is the chairman of the Board.
According to DJB officials, Mishra is the co-founder and coordinator of a New Delhi based youth action group called Youth for Justice. He is involved in campaigning on various social issues.
