Entry level job search & recruitment firm AasaanJobs today said it has upgraded its mobile web to an internet independent version to tap its target audience usually have limited or no access to basic internet facilities.
AasaanJobs incorporated Service worker a script which is run by the browser in the background and has the capability to intercept requests.
Service workers can let users access certain features of an online platform even with limited internet connectivity.
"We launched upgraded AasaanJob s mobile web version to suit the needs of those users who have limited internet connectivity. We are confident that this development will help increase user penetration within the realm of mobile internet by manifold," Siddharth Gupta, Head of Marketing & PR, AasaanJobs said.

IIMB to host 9th edition of National Entrepreneurship Summit * The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, will host the ninth edition of National Annual Entrepreneurship Summit on August 6-7.

MobiKwik launches new wallet app
* Digital payment company Mobikwik has launched a new app -- MobiKwik Lite -- designed to work on slow mobile data networks.
"Being an under 1 MB in size, the app works smoothly on EDGE connections and will address the underserved smartphone users in India, who face challenges of slow data connectivity and thus are unable to access digital payments easily," Mobikwik co-founder Upasana Taku said.
Users can download this app by giving a missed call and sign up with their mobile number only and no email ID is required, she added.

Yamuna Expressway to accept payment through FreeCharge wallet * FreeCharge today said its mobile wallet will be accepted at the Yamuna Expressway which links Delhi and Agra.
Users can now pay toll charges via FreeCharge on this 165 km long, 6-laned access controlled expressway with facilities of 4 toll plazas and 6 interchanges along the entire length, it said in a statement.
With more than 20,000 vehicles plying daily on the route, FreeCharge aims to make the travel and commute of consumers frictionless by removing the challenge of managing cash, it added.
Customers have to scan the QR code displayed at the toll counter using FreeCharge app, enter the payment amount and the transaction will be completed.
