Absence of rain increases maximum temperature across Bihar

With Bihar receiving light rainfall at one or two places, maximum temperature increased by few notches in all major cities of the state.
A Met office bulletin said light rainfall occurred at one or two places in south central parts of the state, while weather remained mainly dry in rest of Bihar.
Bhagalpur recorded the highest maximum temperature at 36.5 degrees Celsius, while Patna recorded 36.1 deg C, Gaya was at 35.6 deg C and Purnea recorded 35.5 deg C, it said.
Patna and Bhagalpur registered maximum temperature above three degrees from their normal temperature, while Gaya and Purnea recorded two degrees above their maximum temperature, the Met office said.
In its forecast, the weather department said Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea may witness partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thundershowers tomorrow.
