According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (ACB) one K Ajay applied for an OBC certificate.
Since he resides in Andaman, his father-in-law pursued the matter and VRO Usha Rani allegedly demanded Rs 6,000 for the issuance of the certificate.
The father-in-law informed the ACB after which the complainant gave the amount to her husband, who was arrested along with his VRO wife.
Both of them would be produced before the Special Court at Visakhapatnam tomorrow.
