"Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Nisar Ahmed Wani, yesterday conducted surprise visit to Public Works Department office in Surankote, Primary School Nakka Taredian and the office of Inspector Fisheries in Surankote Sub-Division" an official spokesman said.
During the inspection of the Fisheries department, Wani found found six of the eight employees, including the Inspector, absent, the spokesperson said.
"He ordered withholding of salary of absentees till they explain their position" he said.
He said that the Wani instructed the officials concerned in the PWD and Primary School Nakka Taredian to enforce punctuality in their offices.
