Action sought against tahsildar for demanding bribe

DMDK MLA S R Parthiban today led a dharna in front of the District Collectorate here seeking action against a tahsildar who allegedly demanded money for providing pattas for housing sites, police said.
Scores of people from Kolathur, Mecheri, Mettur Nangavally, took part in the agitation, they said.
The protesters submitted a petition seeking action against Mettur tahsildar for demanding Rs 10,000 to 25,000 for issuing house site pattas.
