Police here with the help of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) authorities today busted an admission racket and arrested a Faridabad based man.
Sanjiv Guglani allegedly used to provide "question papers" of the admission test for Medical college and other professional courses being run by the university by charging hefty money.
According to Superintendent of Police, Nitin Tiwari, Guglani was operating the racket with the help of some local coaching institutes and from there he used to get details of his potential targets.
Later, he used to approach them.
The matter came to the attention of top AMU officials two days back when some admission seekers complained about the matter.
The AMU authorities with the help of police then laid a trap and Guglani was nabbed. He allegedly used to charge Rs 30-35 lakhs promising admission in medical courses.
The police are now looking for Guglani's accomplice who is reportedly operating from Bihar.
