Three Power Development Department (PDD) officials including an Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) were on Monday placed under suspension for "dereliction of duty" in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesman said.
Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Rohit Khajuria ordered the suspension of the AEE, a junior engineer and a meter reader during a surprise visit to the PDD's sub-division office in the town following complaints about non-availability of the staff there, he said.
Khajuria expressed concern over poor functioning and handling of complaints and general public queries by the suspended officials.
He ordered attachment of the erring officials in his office till the completion of the pending enquiry against them, the spokesman said.
