"The bus service was stopped due to political turmoil in the neighbouring country. The service would be resumed from the coming Friday (May 15)," Managing Director of Tripura Road Transport Corporation R M Malakar said today.
The bus - 'Maitry' (Friendship) - would travel to Dhaka twice a week on Mondays and Fridays and Bangladesh Transport Corporation would run its bus service on Tuesdays and Saturdays, he told newsmen.
The bus fare for the 140 km distance from Agartala to Dhaka has been fixed at Rs 180 per passenger, he said.
