Essar Group firm AGC Networks today announced appointment of Anil Nair as CEO and Managing Director.
The firm, which provides network infrastructure, Data Centre, virtualisation and enterprise application solutions, also appointed Amal Thakore as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Nair has most recently served as the President and CEO at Securitas India, the firm said in a statement.
Thakore, who takes over from the outgoing CFO V Srinivasa Raghavan, will focus on all the financial operations of AGC Networks while leading the company's engagement with the customers, vendors, investor community and the market, it added.
Nair set up and ran Aegis Consulting between 2011-2012, blending learning across the customer experience continuum, winning contracts in Healthcare, Automotive, Retail, Airline, and Manufacturing verticals in India, US and the Middle East.
Prior to that in his earlier tenure with AGC Networks Ltd (Avaya Global Connect), as Managing Director, he was responsible for AGC's enterprise communication business that includes IP Telephony, Contact Centers, Unified Communications and Networking.
He will report to the Board of Directors of AGC Networks.
Thakore had earlier been associated with AGC Networks (formerly AVAYA Global Connect) since its inception in 1987 and as Head of Finance and had been instrumental in the growth of the organisation.
He was responsible for financial planning and taxation.
Previously, Thakore has also worked as financial advisor to global corporations spanning financial reporting, cash management, taxation and M&A.
