Purohit (28), from Gujarat's Surat district, topped the exam results declared today. Archit Gupta secured the second rank. Both toiled in the classroom sessions of the Allen Career Institute, its director Rajesh Meshawari claimed.
"Three among the top 10 rank holders had subscribed to our distance learning programme," he said.
The other students of the institute who made it to the top 10 are Tamoghna Gosh, Nipum Chandra, Harsh Agarawal, Rishav Raj, Harshit Anand, Rinku Sharma, Abhishek Dogera and Manish Mulchandani (rank-wise).
Also, it had last year produced top three NEET rank holders.
A national basketball player and an NCC candidate, Purohit wants to be a cardiac surgeon at AIIMS.
