Keeping in view interests of the people of the state, the Haryana government has given the transporters one year to follow the rules for fitness of their vehicles, an official release said here.
The release quoting Brahm Wadhwa, President of AIMTC, said that the issue had come to an end after the meeting with the Chief Minister and the Transport Minister.
"We have called off the strike," he added.
He said that the call for strike had been given on the issue of oversized dimesion of vehicles, but now that the state government had given them a year for ensuring fitness of vehicles, the transporters would run their vehicles in compliance with the rules.
