Alec Baldwin turns down Marvel villain role

Alec Baldwin has revealed that he turned down a villainous role in a Marvel superhero movie because his wife is due to give birth.
The '30 Rock' actor did not mention the movie he was offered, reported Contactmusic.
"I have been offered a role in a superhero movie, but I won't mention which one. I don't want to undo somebody because they hired someone else to do it. But they asked me to play a villain in one of these Marvel Comics movies.
"I wasn't available. They wanted me to work a certain time, and because of my wife's pregnancy, I had to turn down two films this summer that I wanted to do," he said.

While Baldwin is reluctant to name the role he declined, it's possible the actor was approached for James Gunns' intergalactic movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy", which is currently being filmed in England.
Baldwin will next be seen starring alongside Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett in Woody Allen's critically acclaimed drama, "Blue Jasmine".
