The revelation was made by show's host Ryan Seacrest, reported Aceshowbiz.
"I've spoken to all of them recently and we as a team have talked to them about coming back to do something for the final season. They are going to do it, it's just a matter of figuring what to do with them," Seacrest said.
The FOX show began with Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson as judges and had a number of other stars join over the years.
The final series will air in January, with judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr returning from last season.
