All Mantralaya floors surveyed, says Coast Guard

The fire, which started yesterday afternoon, gutted three floors and left five persons dead.

Coast Guard said in a statement here that it received a call for fire-fighting assistance at 4 pm yesterday. "The Coast Guard fire-fighting team consisting of five officers and 30 personnel with specialised equipment was deputed for augmenting the efforts of the state administration," it said.

Coast Guard personnel formed part of the search and rescue teams of state fire officials which visited and carried out survey of each floor of Mantralaya from midnight till today morning, it added.
