Alliance with like minded parties for local body polls: KMDK

: Kongunadu Makkal Desiya Katchi (KMDK) today said it would face the coming local body elections in Tamil Nadu by forming alliancee with like minded parties.
KDMK will go in for alliance with those parties who really showing interest in development of the Kongu region,comprising Erode, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Udagamandalam, Namakkal, Salem, Karur and Dharmapuri districts, said party general secretary E R Eswaran, at its General Council meeting here.
Eswaran urged the Tamil Nadu government and Erode district Administration to conduct a meeting of all farmers Associations prior to discharge of water for irrigation from the Lower Bhavani Reservoir.
He also demanded that the government hold an enquiry into the death of an IPS Officer from Sathyamangalam at Andhra Pradesh some days back, saying his parents suspected it was not suicide, but that there was some foul play.
