Aluminium prices weakened by 0.39 per cent to Rs 116.10 per kg in futures market today as participants trimmed their positions, driven by tepid demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in December declined by 45 paise, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 116.10 per kg, in a business turnover of 356 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in January shed 35 paise, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 115.75 per kg in 25 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by traders owing to slackened demand from consuming industries at domestic spot markets, mainly led to the fall in aluminium prices at futures trade.
