Amarjit Singh gets 6 months extension as Polavaram project CEO

Senior IAS officer Amarjit Singh was today given six months extension as Chief Executive Officer of Polavaram Project Authority.
Singh, a 1982 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, is a Special Secretary in Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, holding additional charge of CEO of Polavaram Project Authority.
The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved assignment of additional charge of the post of CEO, Polavaram Project Authority, for a further period of six months with effect from April 20, 2016, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training said.
The authority's is tasked to execute multipurpose Polavaram irrigation project in Andhra Pradesh.
