Actors James Marsden, Amber Heard, Odessa Young and Henry Zaga are set to play the lead roles in CBS All Access' "The Stand" series.
The cast was announced by Julie McNamara, executive vice president of original content for All Access at CBS' summer Television Critics Association presentation.
The series is based on Stephen King's novel of the same name and according to Variety, the celebrated author will write the final episode of the series, providing a "new coda" that goes beyond the book.
As per the log line of the show the story focuses on an "apocalyptic vision of a world decimated by plague and embroiled in an elemental struggle between good and evil."
