Anganwadi Association to observe fast on Dec 20

Tamil Nadu Nutritious Meal and Anganwadi Associations Federation' Executive which met here today resolved to observe one day token fast on December 20 to press for their demands including "hike in pension amount"
Talking to newsmen here state convenor of the federation M Varadharajan said the fast would be organised at Chennai.
He said Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had agreed to look into their grievances before the elections in 2011. But their main demand for hike in pension had not been implemented.
If their demand was not met,the retired employees would contest in the elections to prove the power of their vote bank.
