Sharma, a three-time MLA from Mandi and a former Rajya Sabha member, was to be inducted into the ministry on February 23 last but the swearing-in ceremony was deferred as the Governor was "indisposed".
Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, on his return from Delhi yesterday, had said Anil Sharma would be inducted into cabinet before the budget session of assembly commences on August 12 while induction of one more minister and appointment of some Chief Parliamentary Secretaries would take place after the budget session.
The Chief Minister has already indicated that there would be no change in portfolios of ministers and Sharma would be given the portfolio from the portfolios held by him.
Anil Sharma has earlier served as minister of state in Virbhadra Singh government from 2003 to 2006 but resigned after Sukh Ram was arrested in telecom scam.
