"I had turned up in Anjanda's Bedeni and it will remain one of my most favourite roles. Putting up a seminal Tarashankar (Bandyopadhyay) work is not all that easy," the Dahan actor told PTI.
Rituparna, who broke down during a West Bengal Film Journalist Association-organised memorial of Anjan, recalls how keen he was to see Swarger Niche Manush see the light of day.
"I starred in Swarger Niche Manush. It again bore the hallmark of his rare poetic sensitivity as a creative person. Even Ajana Batas can only be an Anjan Das film. We want both to be commercially released," she said.
"We wish if there can be a screening of nine Anjan Das films to show his different sides as a film maker but all uncannily similar in terms of sentivity and poetic imageries," she said.
