Ankita, Jeevan end runners-up at ITF events

Ankita Raina and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan had to be content with runners-up finishes in their respective ITF events, where the two top seeded Indian players lost the hard-fought finals, today.
Country's number one woman singles player Ankita, playing her first final of the season, lost 5-7 6-2 3-6 to seventh seed Chinese Lin Zhu.
Ankita earned 30 WTA ranking points for her effort in the USD 25,000 event in Balikpapan, Indonesia.
At the USD 10,000 ITF Futures in Guam, Jeevan lost his first summit clash of the season 7-6(6) 2-6 5-7 to second seed Japanese Takuto Niki.
The left-handed Jeevan got 10 ranking points for reaching the final.
