The minister also mentioned about the new tourism projects aimed at creating employment.
Priya said that a detailed project report (DPR) of one such initiative, the Rs 134 crore Rayalaseema Tourism Circuit, was submitted to the Centre today.
Speaking to reporters here, she said, "We are engaging with a startup company to provide internship opportunities to our youths with a stipend ranging from Rs 5,000 to 8,000 per month."
Report for another project in the Araku region of Visakhapatnam, worth Rs 110 crore, would be submitted soon, the minister said.
Priya in her two-day-visit to the national capital met the vice president and union ministers Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Alphons Kannanthanam and Mahesh Sharma to put forth various department specific demands, including seeking funds for various projects.
"The union ministry assured us that it would consider granting Rs 15 crore for setting up the Tagore Cultural Complex in Kakinada for which the AP government will contribute the same amount," she said.
