AP Minister congratulates badminton star Sindhu

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Youth Services and Sports Vatti Vasanth Kumar today congratulated city-based shuttler Pusarla Venkata Sindhu for being selected for Arjuna Award.
The rising player became the first Indian woman shuttler to clinch a bronze medal at the World Championships.
The Minister lauded Sindhu for creating history at the World Badminton Championships in China, according to a release from the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh here.
Kumar hoped the 18-year-old player, currently ranked 12th in the world, will bring more laurels to the country as well as to the state.
