A local court directed the Saifabad police today to investigate a complaint against the General Secretary of the Association of Public Prosecutors, for allegedly fabricating and forging the message of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, in an annual diary published by the organisation.
Based on a private complaint filed by a government employee Padma Rao, the First Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court directed the police to investigate the matter and file a status report before it, by February 28.
Earlier, the petitioner had alleged that Association of Public Prosecutors general secretary G Daniel Kumar, who got an annual diary of 2013 published, had fabricated and forged the AP CM's message and signature with the help of other office bearers.
He had sought a direction from the court to the police, to register a case against Daniel Kumar under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
Along with the petition, Padma Rao had also submitted a letter from the AP Chief Minister's Office (CMO) which said, "No message of the Chief Minister (CM) has been given by the Press Secretary to the CM to the Association of Public Prosecutors for publishing in their Association diary of 2013," in response to an RTI application.
