APMC, BSES contribute towards Uttarakhand victims

Various organisations, including Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee, Azadpur and BSES discoms today contributed around Rs 1.85 crore for the relief and rehabilitation of Uttarakhand flash-floods victims.
Rajendra Sharma, chairman of APMC Azadpur, presented a cheque of Rs 25 lakh to Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit as contribution into CM's Relief Fund.
Other than this, Rs 75 lakh was contributed by Development Department of Delhi Government, Rs 25 lakh by Delhi Co-operative Housing Finance Corporation (DCHFC) and Rs 25 lakh by Delhi Agriculture Marketing Board (DAMB).
BSES employees also contributed their one day's basic salary, collecting around Rs 35 lakh for the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.
Senior BYPL officials presented a cheque of Rs 15.17 lakh to Dikshit for the Prime Minister's Relief Fund while BRPL officials will present a cheque of around Rs 19.45 lakh tomorrow to the CM for the same cause, a BSES statement said today.
