Finishing second was R Nataraj of TVS Racing, while local lad V S Naresh was third as the best two-wheeler rallysts in the country aimed to conquer the dirt roads on their machines.
The event, organised by Coimbatore Auto Sports Club, was flagged off by Mayor P Rajkumar around 7.30 AM and saw 38 rallyists taking part in various categories.
Thirty two competitors finished the rally, while six competitors dropped out due to mechanical failure.
