Traders said easing demand from retailers at prevailing levels against adequate stocks positions on increased supplies mainly kept pressure on arhar and moong prices.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety remained under selling pressure and lost another Rs 300 each to Rs 6,300 and Rs 8,200-10,000 per quintal, respectively.
Moong and its dal chilka local followed suit and eased further by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,200-5,800 and Rs 5,700-6,000 per quintal. Its dal dhoya local and best quality traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 6,300-6,800 and Rs 6,800-7,000 per quintal.
