Armed Praja Pratighatana Group of Naxalites arrested in AP

Police arrested four cadres of the Praja Pratighatana Group of naxalites of the Mohananna Dalam (squad), including a woman and recovered explosive materials, gelatin sticks as well as a gun from their possession today, in Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh.
Praja Pratighatana Group (PPG) is a splinter naxalite group led by one 'Mohananna', who is underground.
According to the police, at least seven PPG cadres were returning after a meeting with Mohananna in the Bayyaram forest area, when the police intercepted them and apprehended four of them today morning, while three others managed to escape.
They were identified as D Rajesh, M Venkatareddy, B Bhadraiah and a woman called Manjala, who were allegedly involved in earlier cases of abduction for ransom, a police officer said.
