Army jawan arrested for killing wife's paramour

An Army jawan has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife's paramour, a class XII student, near Kasampur gate here, police said.
Bunty (19) was found shot dead on Tuesday night. On the basis of his phone call details, police took Rakesh, an army jawan, into custody who confessed to his crime last night, district police spokesperson said.
It was revealed during the interrogation that Rakesh had married Medha in February this year, who was having an affair with Bunty prior to their marriage. When Rakesh discovered about their relationship, he persuaded them to end their affair and not meet each other, police said.

When Rakesh came on leave this time, Medha had gone to her parent's house in Fazalpur. Rakesh discovered his wife and Bunty together when he visited Fazalpur next day, said police.
During interrogation, Rakesh confessed to have called Bunty to Kasampurkhedi on some pretext, where he shot him and dumped his body in the nearby bushes.
Rakesh was remanded to 14-day judicial custody by a local court here today.
