Army jawan, wife die in road accident in Rewari

An army jawan and his wife were crushed to death when their motorbike collided head on with a light commercial vehicle at Rewari-Narnaul road, about 10 km from here, police said today.
The deceased have been identified as Attar Singh Yadav (38) and wife Surekha Yadav (35), they said.
The mishap took place when the couple was going from Rewari to Kunjpura village in Mahendergarh district to participate in a function marking the death of his father.
Singh was posted in Jammu and Kashmir.
The driver of the vehicle managed to flee after the accident, police said, adding, he was booked for negligence and rash driving.
