Pradeep Kumar Yadav (50), a soldier of the 50 Armed Regiment, were consigned to the flames at his native Rajia Ka village, about 10 km from here, today.
He died yesterday at the Military Hospital in Chandigarh where he was admitted on October 13 after he was seriously injured during warfare training at Pathankot in Punjab, his family said.
Men of the 50 Armed Regiment fired in the air to salute him.
He is survived by his wife Saroj Devi, daughter Priya Yadav and son Harsh Yadav.
