Senior police inspector Dinesh Katke of the MFC police station, Kalyan, said that Bharat Teju Razak and Santosh Teju Razak, brothers, banged police nayak Ganesh Gite's head on the window of police jeep, causing him serious injuries.
The incident took place at Rukminibai Hospital in Kalyan last night.
Gite himself had to be hospitalised. Police have lodged a fresh case against the duo.
