An arts and crafts online channel exclusively for children is what Harun Robert, also known as Rob, the engaging anchor who has been capturing children's imagination with his TV show, is now offering.
A trail of episodes on the online channel 'MadStuffWithRob', promoted by YouTube in partnership with Sony Music Kids, aims to inspire children to create art and craft, and keep them more connected to the creative world.
Rob, the brains behind popularising the techniques and ideas involved in crafts and whose do-it-yourself-show "M.A.D" on TV, has chosen the digital portal this time to communicate even better.
"With growing technology and an easy access to electronic gadgets, children do not have to wait for my show to get telecast on television. They can buffer the channel online and can immediately start making crafts and different kinds of arts," says Rob.
"This is the freedom that comes with technology. It is the creativity at your fingertips. They can pause the videos unlike television and linger on the ideas for long and can even repeat the show if they want to," he adds.
A graduate from National Institute of Design, Rob believes that with technology nowadays easily accessible to kids, his new show is all about "bringing them back to the space of art and creativity."
"It is definitely challenging to bring children to this space back again. But here we make learning fun. We had to make it more interesting to draw the attention of children," he said.
The anchor says he would also invite fans and celebrities for tutorials on how to make art from the heart.
"With technology at the stretch of their hands, children now are are optimally utilizing digital platforms for education, entertainment and more. MadStuffWithRob is packed with fun elements, easy art and craft for all inquisitive and creative minds to watch, learn and make along with their favorite Rob," says Anjana Devraj, who heads Sony Music Kids.
The show will serve read art tips, tricks and techniques, with easy ways to draw complicated looking things.
Apart from making art by recycling and upcycling an attraction of the show is 'PrankTank' where the master is set to demonstrate funny but safe and hilarious practical jokes made out of crafts.
The show was first launched with a series of 10 videos.
