Continuing with its endeavour to make the government accountable, responsive and more citizen friendly, the Arunachal Pradesh government is going to set up public grievances online and redress the same.
The state cabinet today launched the CPGRAMS portal, designed and developed by the department of IT and NIC, in collaboration with department of Administrative Reforms for Arunachal Pradesh which can be accessed from the state government webpage.
While launching the portal, Chief Minister Pema Khandu lauded the IT department for bringing out a slew of initiatives in the recent times to bring maximum governance and minimum government.
Khandu invited all the citizens of the state to make full use of this portal and lodge their grievances.
He said that the initiative is going to change the way citizens interact with the government.
Before the launch, a short presentation highlighting the features of CPGRAMS was made by Special Secretary, IT.
He explained the various ways in which citizens can log their grievances and how the same can be monitored by the citizens as well as the head of departments, an official release informed.
The secretary noted that CPGRAMS is an online web- enabled system developed by NIC, in association with Directorate of Public Grievances (DPG) and Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG).
"Citizens can visit the portal and click 'please lodge your grievance here' and further choose the option 'Public Grievance' for lodging their grievance.
The system will enable the citizens to easily lodge and track the grievances online using the Unique Registration Number received by SMS/email.
The system will facilitate departments to receive, forward and monitor grievances which would enable timely and efficient redressal of public grievances, the secretary said.
State Chief Secretary Shakuntala Doley Gamlin, who was also present on the occasion, said that this was a part of the various initiatives being taken by the government to make the services paperless, faceless and cashless.
The state government has notified Public Grievance Officers (PGO) for all departments to address the grievances online.
Department of Administrative Reforms would act as a nodal department to monitor the pending grievances, the release added.
