The committee, with representatives from the government, newspapers' management and journalist/non-journalist workers unions will have to submit its report on the implementation of the wage recommendation within a month, an official release said here today.
Assam Minister for Water Resources Basanta Das will be the committee chairman, the state labour commissioner will be the convenor and additional chief secretary (labour and employment department) and state director of information and public relations will be its members, it said.
The term of the committee will be one year from its constitution and its first sitting would be held within 30 days from its constitution, it said.
The state labour commissioner's office will render secretariat assistance to the committee, the release added.
