Attack on BJP MP: Party workers hold demonstration

BJP workers today held a demonstration at District Magistrate's office here demanding immediate arrest of those involved in the attack on party MP Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti.
The protesters alleged the police were not probing the case in an unbiased manner and sought revocation of the counter FIR lodged by one of the alleged attackers.
The BJP activists handed over a memorandum addressed to the DM in this regard.
On Sunday night, an attempt was made on the life of the BJP lawmaker allegedly by four persons but she escaped unhurt.
Three of the alleged attackers fled while one Bhanu Patel was arrested in connection with the incident.

A counter FIR was lodged by Patel against supporters of the BJP MP.
In the FIR, he had alleged four to five persons opened fire, snatched his gold chain, mobile and purse and assaulted him.
