A delegation of All-Delhi Auto-Taxi Transport Congress Union led by former MP Mahabal Mishra today met Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely and apprised him of various issues faced by them.
Lovely asked them not to go ahead with the proposed strike on August 8 and 9 as it would put people in the city to inconvenience during the festive season, to which the union agreed, a DPCC release said.
Lovely entrusted the responsibility of forming a transport cell to Mishra in association with the transport union leaders, the release said.
Lovely assured the delegation comprising 300 members that their problems will be taken care of and Congress will fight for their rights on a war-footing, it said.
