Autorickshaws under scanner in West Bengal
Keeping this in view, State Transport Minister Madan Mitra today held a meeting with the unions of autorickshaw operators and police officers to chalk out a stratgy.
Mitra has sought a report within 15 days about the unregistered autorickshaws in the state, particularly in the city and its adjacent areas.
He also cautioned the auto-rickshaw operators against forcible collection of fares hiked by themselves from the passengers.
