Workshops will be held under from 25th September and 2nd October, which is the birth anniversaries of Deen Dayal Upadhayay and Mahatma Gandhi respectively, for disbursing loans to small-time entrepreneurs, the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting said in a workshop organized at HRIT institute here.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY) scheme on April 8 in New Delhi in a bid to support and create an ecosystem of growth for micro enterprises sector.
Three products available under the PMMY are Shishu, Kishor and Tarun with the first covering loans up to Rs 50,000 while the second and third covering loans between Rs 50,000 to Rs 5 lakh, and Rs 5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively, he said.
State Bank of India has been selected as the lead bank, which will co-ordinate with all other banks participating in loan scheme, he said.
