DSP Kanthasoroopan, who presided over the meeting, said as per rules the Explosives Licence holders themselves should blast the explosives for quarrying purpose and take the remaining stock with them.
They should not leave the explosives at the quarry site.
They should also examine the nature of the quarry stones before planting the dynamite and other explosives.
Quarry owners were among those who participated in the meeting.
