The condition of Punjab Chief
Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who was admitted to PGIMER here last night following complaints of uneasiness in the chest, was today stable.
"His condition is stable," officials at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) said.
"Badal, who spent the night in the hospital, was kept under observation and after examining him, the doctors will take a call on discharging him," they said.
The 88-year-old suffered from chest spasm after he had just concluded the Sangat Darshan at village Behloor Kalan yesterday.

The Chief Minister has been advised by the doctors to remain under observation in the hospital, he said.
Badal has further been advised to take complete bed rest for next couple of days in view of the chest congestion, the spokesman said.
"The team of doctors has decided to keep Badal under observation for next few days. However, his all routine medical tests were normal and the Chief Minister was responding well to the treatment," he said.
