The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today said Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal-led government is trying to "disturb" the peace in the state.
"The Akali-BJP combine government-led by Badal is trying to disturb the hard-earned peace in Punjab tactfully with an aim to divert the attention from its anti-people policies which has adversely affected all occupations ranging from labour, farmers to businessmen," he said.
AAP national spokesperson and Punjab affairs in-charge Sanjay Singh said the circumstances in the state have become critical after the killing of two youths in the police firing during Behbal Kalan protest on Wednesday over alleged desecration of a Sikh holy book.
He said a delegation of AAP will meet governor Kaptan Singh Solani and impress upon him to detail the central government about the allegedly deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
He said that the people of the state are suffering and the Chief Minister has been continuously ignoring their problems.
