With its sound physical and social infrastructure, rich natural resources and skilled man power, Uttarakhand could be an ideal investment destination for investors from abroad, he said in his inaugural address at the 2nd Ambassadors' Meet here.

Citing its good connectivity, proximity to the hubs of commercial activity like Delhi and Chandigarh and the package of incentives being given to investors, the Chief Minister said participants could explore how to invest in Uttarakhand especially in sectors like floriculture, horticulture and agro-business which have tremendous potential.

"An amazing variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts, flowers, herbs and medicinal plants grow in Uttarakhand. This abundant bounty coupled with favourable climatic conditions for food processing makes the state an attractive investment destination for agri and food processing, floriculture, horticulture and herb-based industries," he said.

The Chief Minister assured investors from participating countries of all possible help in their endeavour.

"I hope, by working together we can steer the hill state to its goal of rapid development," he said.

Ambassadors of Burkina Faso, Togo, Niger, Madagascar, Benin, Georgia and Gabon and the High Commissioner of South Africa along with diplomats from 14 countries participated in the meet held at the Raj Bhawan under the aegis of the state government and the Indusries Association of Uttarakhand.
