Delhi Lt Governor Anil Baijal today called on Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and is understood to have discussed legal aspects relating to the Centre and city government.
However, an official in the LG office termed the meeting as courtesy call.
This is the first meeting between Baijal and Prasad since the former has been appointed as the Lt Governor of Delhi on December 31.
In the past, Baijal's predecessor Najeeb Jung and the Kejriwal government had been at loggerheads on a range of issues including authority over administrative issues pertaining to the city administration.
Jung had resigned on December 22, citing personal reason.
In August last year, the Delhi High Court had stamped the primacy of Lt Governor in the city administration.
Delhi government has challenged the HC order in the Supreme Court.
