Entertainment portal Banjahero.Com, engaged in showcasing talent for young artists, is eyeing Rs 100 crore revenue in next three years.
"We have launched Banjahero.Com and are looking at Rs 100 crore revenue in next three years. It is a latest video-based web portal to make an entry with the objective of providing people an opportunity to showcase their diverse talents," Banja Hero E Talent, promoter Rajnish Sarna told reporters here.
In an ever growing sector of ecommerce in India, which in 2015 is set to clock in revenues of USD 22 billion, the portal would prove to be a major boon for talent emanating from smaller towns and cities, even as plans are being drawn up to take this model global largely for the Indian diaspora, with teams in UK, US and Canada, Sarna said.
"On the technology front, we deploy top-of-the-line servers for video streaming and data storage. We are building a CDN platform for our services across major centres in India, along with a few destinations across the world.
This technology network is being created to handle the high traffic of data and videos which would enable to create a wealth of database," he said.
The Indian television industry, the third largest in the world, is another large employer of talent, beside the film industry. The 1.8 million people employed in this industry have been growing by over 15 per cent, year on year, he said.
