Ajit Singh, 24, Ashu Srivastava, 30, and Mukesh Pal, 26, were involved in robbing the two employees of a rice trader near Shakurbasti underpass on July 28, Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Pushpendra Kumar said.
The victims told police that they befriended bank employee Ajit and used to deposit the cash with his help. Later, they began sharing their future depositing plans with him without suspecting him of any wrongdoing.
After Ajit came to know that the two persons would deposit Rs 80 lakh, he informed his friends Ashu and Mukesh who hatched a conspiracy with their associates, police said.
Police said they have recovered Rs 44.74 lakh from the robbed money. Further investigation was underway to nab the absconding accused.
